A little help getting started with testnet RLUSD.
What is a testnet faucet?
A faucet distributes test tokens so you can build and try applications without using real funds. RLUSD from this faucet is for development on test networks only and has no monetary value.
Which networks can I use?
The faucet includes native XRPL Testnet and these EVM networks: Ethereum Sepolia, XRPL EVM Testnet, Base Sepolia, Unichain Sepolia, Optimism Sepolia. Availability is checked when you select a network. Native XRPL and XRPL EVM are separate networks; use the address format shown by the selected faucet.
Do I need to connect a wallet or pay gas?
Sign in with GitHub first. For EVM faucet claims, enter an address you control on the selected network: no wallet connection or transaction signature is required, and the faucet sponsors delivery. The native XRPL flow uses a connected wallet and a trust line. Swap and liquidity tools have their own wallet, signature and network-fee requirements.
How does delivery to another EVM network work?
RLUSD is first minted on Ethereum Sepolia. For another supported EVM network, the tokens are burned on Sepolia and minted on the destination through Wormhole Native Token Transfers (NTT). The faucet handles the bridge submission for you. A direct Sepolia claim does not need the bridge step.
Why is my claim still pending?
Bridged claims wait for source-chain finality, a Wormhole attestation and a confirmed destination mint. Allow around 20 minutes for finality and attestation; testnets can take longer. Use the transaction and Wormholescan links in your claim status to follow progress. A finalized transaction on Wormholescan does not by itself mean that the destination mint is complete.
Can I leave the page and come back?
Yes. An accepted sponsored claim is saved by the faucet and delivery is processed in the background. Return with the same browser and GitHub account, select the same network, and the page will recover your saved request. Status checks resume when your connection returns. If your session expires, sign in again. You do not need to create another claim to finish an existing delivery.
How much can I claim, and how often?
The faucet shows the amount available before you submit. Cooldowns and issuance limits apply, and EVM claim limits are shared across destination networks. If you reach a limit or a route is temporarily unavailable, follow the message shown by the faucet. Switching networks does not reset your EVM allowance.
Can I bridge RLUSD I already own?
Yes. Sign in with GitHub and open Bridge in the sidebar. Connect an EVM browser wallet holding the new NTT-enabled RLUSD, choose the source and destination, and review the amount and recipient. Unlike faucet claims, these transfers are not sponsored: you approve and send on the source, then return to sign Receive RLUSD on the destination when the attestation is ready. Keep native gas on both networks. Current direct routes run between Sepolia and XRPL EVM, Base, Unichain or Optimism. Other pairs require two separate completed transfers through Sepolia; native XRPL is not included.
How do I recover a transfer from the Bridge page?
Return with the same browser and GitHub account to recover saved progress, or choose the original source network and paste the direct NTT transfer transaction hash in the recovery section. Do not use an approval hash or faucet claim hash. Status resumes after reconnecting, but wallet signing is always explicit. If your wallet sped up a transaction, recover its replacement hash. A destination rate-limit queue may require waiting and signing Release queued RLUSD. If a wallet request failed without returning a hash, check wallet activity before doing anything else: the source transfer may already have been sent.
Are Swap and Liquidity available on every faucet network?
No. These are separate tools with their own network selectors and supported pools. A network being available for faucet claims does not mean swapping or liquidity provision is configured there. Choose a supported network inside the tool and review any wallet request before signing.
